And now the bad news… it’s a brownout!

The Singapore government has lashed out at a blogger named mrbrown for penning a satirical piece titled “S’poreans are fed, up with progress!” about the rising cost of living in Singapore.

Following the official rebuttal, the editors of Today informed mrbrown that his regular column would be suspended indefinitely. His suspension, however, prompted a silent protest outside the City Hall MRT station, which was a rare sight under Singapore’s Stalinisque-type of control where citizens are forbidden to come together to express their views.
