The Color Q model outlined in this book is similar to the color types mentioned in Surrounded by Idiots (or perhaps it should be the other way around, since Career Match was published much earlier), minus the hyperbole and the unsubstantiated claims made by Thomas Erikson in his much-hyped book.
The author essentially gave a free pass to skip chapters by telling readers, “Don’t Read the Whole Book”. Instead, all you need to do is to complete a short self-assessment, identify your color type and head over to the relevant chapters that include career guidance for your personality.
If you’re familiar with Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and DiSC personality test, this should be an easy read for you.
