Life is short; play hard!” is the more common aphorism. But for Fetman, Garland & Associates Ltd, an all-female law firm in Chicago that specialises in divorce cases, its head-turning advertising billboard bears a blunt message: “Life’s Short. Get A Divorce.”

Life’s Short. Get A Divorce 1The billboard, the brainchild of Corri Fetman, features the six-pack abs of a headless male torso and tanned female cleavage heaving forth from a black lace bra. A city alderman found a technical reason to remove the billboard after one week, although the law firm plans to contest the decision.

Critics in Chicago’s “Viagra Triangle” area, where the billboard previously appeared, have complained that the ad message is misleading and makes light of divorce. Still, the ad has drawn plenty of attention and that’s probably the whole idea.
