A million; little results

By | August 9, 2008

I was back in Singapore last week and one thing I immediately noticed is how prices have gone up for practically everything. A taxi ride from the airport to downtown can easily cost more than S$25 with airport surcharge, CBD surcharge, peak hour surcharge, public holiday surcharge, fuel surcharge, and god knows what else. Even food prices in many food courts have shot up considerably, diametrical to the quality and size of the serving.

The ruling PAP government keeps blaming external circumstances for the spiraling cost of living in Singapore. But when you’re paid an obscene amount as salary, you’re expected to deliver results, not just promises or rhetoric.
