According to Steven Yeo (not related to yours truly), general manager of the Singapore Flyer, a total of 173 passengers were trapped in the Flyer when a small electrical fire caused the stoppage. The attraction is in operation for barely a year and this was already the fourth power outage it has experienced so far.
Lucky thing the victims were rescued after six hours. Otherwise, this place might have to rename itself as the Singapore Fryer.
