If you’ve seen a recent Patek Philippe print ad, you’ll notice the following slogan:
“You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation.”
Now, if you never actually own something, shouldn’t you consider leasing, rather than buying, it? This way, it might make more sense to amortise the cost over several generations.
