Ok, this is not a tribute to John Lennon. Despite my reservations about close-up shots, I thought this morning’s dump would work well with closer scrutiny. So I tried to zoom in and the shot turned out better than yesterday’s.
Just to make sure yesterday’s zoom image wasn’t a fluke shot, I tried the same strategy on this morning’s dump. Turned out the zoomed version was noticeably grainier. I’ll probably stick to the standard composition, unless there’s a reason for a close-up.
Did it make any difference? Should I stick to the routine shot? For a clean dump like this, zooming in seems to work pretty well. But if it’s a mess, I wonder if a close-up shot will be nauseating.

Woke up around 4am this morning for this unscheduled dump. Must have been something I ate last night. The salted egg? Chicken wings? You may ask, “Can this activity be scheduled?” Well, I don’t know about you. Mine’s usually just after breakfast.
