It has been reported that Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer each earned $616,667 in salary in the fiscal year ended in June, up 2.8% from a year earlier. However, both had their bonuses cut 13% to $350,000, down from $400,000 in 2005. Ballmer also received $9,482 for “all other compensation”, while Gates received $2,112 for similar reasons.
But gee…. is that all they’re getting paid for to run one of the biggest companies in the world?
All told, Gates and Ballmer barely made $1 million in compensation each (I’m qualifying this statement as these guys obviously earn more as shareholders of Microsoft), which are peanuts in comparison to the obscene amount the revered ministers in Singapore are drawing.
